The New Centre

We’re so Excited! The Greater Vernon Cultural Centre is being built in downtown Vernon at 2917 – 31 Ave beginning this year! With 31,000 square feet of indoor community space and an outdoor plaza of approximately 8,500 square feet, It will be a dynamic cultural hub for the entire region, co-locating the Vernon Public Art Gallery, the Greater Vernon Museum, and a presentation and event space available for the community. The Campaign

The Greater Vernon Cultural Centre will be an exciting new venue bringing many Social, Economic, Personal, and Educational benefits to our communities. Like most community capital projects a significant portion of the cost, has already been secured through municipal planning and budgeting, Grants, and Donations. $13 million is being sought through Provincial and Federal grants, fund-Raising, donations, events, and gifts.

Creating A Cultural Destination

An Extraordinary Cultural Venue

The Greater Vernon Cultural Centre will become the cultural hub for the region.

It will provide a new home for our public art gallery and museum, indoor and outdoor gathering space for our diverse and growing population, and an intimate presentation space to energize our downtown with live performances.

The facility will attract world-class exhibitions and performances to delight our community members and visitors, and be a place to nurture and celebrate our region’s artists. The new facility will protect our art and artifacts that record our history and collection of progress while offering much-needed space for performance and public gatherings. Our art and heritage collections are seriously at risk in their current locations, and this new facility will provide a safe and secure home with room to grow.
