Beaux Art Ball Fancy dressed, costumed revelers roamed from the Med Restaurant where Jay LaFlamme and Denis Letourneau had opened the evening with classical and opera compositions. Under Okanagan sunshine but harkening back to Paris in the heyday of the Moulin Rouge, the Vernon iteration of a Beaux Arts Ball had kicked off. Generous Donation Accepted by Gallery
The Galbraith Family Foundation’s Gift To recognize the value of art and support the work of the Vernon Public Art Gallery in the community, the Galbraith Family Foundation has pledged one million dollars to the Vernon Public Art Gallery as a legacy gift. The funds will be used for the construction of the Gallery’s new home in the Greater Vernon Cultural Centre which will begin construction this summer. Campaign Officially Launched
With the Art-i-Fact Information Booth as a back drop the Together4Culture Fundraising Campaign was kicked-off with a Generous Donation from Janet Armstrong and Lloyd Davies! The Greater Vernon Cultural Centre launched its public fund-raising campaign called Together 4 Culture with a kick-off event April 22, 2025 in downtown Vernon. Held on the site where the facility will be built starting this summer, emcee Bob Fleming, Chair of the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee, acknowledged the work done to date on the project.
